About Us – Dr. Ashraf Lectures

Our Story

Built From What We Never Had

Dr. Ashraf Lectures began as one medical student's frustration — and became the platform he wished had existed when he needed it most.

Four Years in the Making

Why We Exist

A Problem I Lived Through First

When I was in medical college, I wanted to learn medicine properly — not simply to pass, but to actually understand it. Wanting that and being able to do it turned out to be two very different things.

Teachers were there. But between overcrowded wards, packed rosters and syllabi that never seemed to end, structured and effective teaching was rare. So we did what every medical student in Bangladesh does — we improvised. We spent countless hours moving between textbooks, borrowed notes, photocopied guides and whatever PDFs we could find, and still none of it fit properly. Our examination system asks questions in its own particular way, and no general resource was built to answer it.

The gaps were everywhere, and every one of them cost us time we did not have:

Previous years' questions had to be hunted down — from seniors, from Facebook groups, from photocopy shops that may or may not have the right year. Card and ward questions were even harder; collecting them was a small project in itself, and often we simply never got them. For MCQ practice there was no guided source at all — no one could tell us what to solve, in what order, or why. Free PDF books meant clicking through link after link, creating accounts on sites we did not trust, and at the end of it the book still never arrived. And when it came to career guidance — which exam, which subject, which path — there was no one to ask. Asking felt like requesting a favour.

We finished medical school carrying all of that incompleteness with us. And somewhere in the middle of it, an idea took hold.

What if there were one place — a single, honest, well-organised platform — where an MBBS student or a postgraduate aspirant could find the answer to everything their medical life demanded? Not scattered across ten websites and twenty Facebook groups, but in one place, built by someone who had actually sat in that seat.

That is where the journey of Dr. Ashraf Lectures began. Not as a business plan, but as a promise to the student I used to be.

Four years of relentless work later — recording and re-recording lectures, writing and validating thousands of questions, collecting and organising past papers, building the QBank and flashcard systems from scratch, and answering student messages late into the night — we finally built it.

Today, Dr. Ashraf Lectures brings together structured video courses, a curated QBank, spaced-repetition flashcards, e-books, and academic and career counselling under one roof. Everything here is designed around a single principle: you should never have to waste your energy searching for resources when that energy belongs to learning.

We are still building. We still read every message. And we still measure ourselves against the same question we started with — would this have helped us, back then?

Then & Now

Every Gap We Felt, We Filled

Each part of this platform exists because of a specific problem we could not solve as students.

Then

Hunting for previous years' questions

Chasing seniors, Facebook groups and photocopy shops — often ending up with an incomplete or wrong-year set.

Now

Organised, year-wise question archive

Past papers collected, verified and sorted by year and subject — searchable in seconds, not weeks.

Then

Card & ward questions were nearly impossible to collect

Passed hand to hand, rewritten and distorted along the way — and frequently never reaching us at all.

Now

Curated card question bank

Compiled from real examinations, cross-checked for accuracy, and kept updated as patterns change.

Then

No guided source for MCQ practice

Plenty of questions floating around, but nothing telling you what to solve, in what order, or how you were doing.

Now

Structured QBank with explanations

Topic-wise practice with reasoned answers, progress tracking and performance analytics — so you know exactly where you stand.

Then

Free PDF books that never actually arrived

Endless redirects, forced sign-ups on untrustworthy sites, and after all that — no book.

Now

Direct, honest access to books

One account, one click, one download. No redirect chains, no dark patterns, no wasted evenings.

Then

Career decisions made in the dark

Which exam, which subject, which path — and no one to ask without feeling like you were asking a favour.

Now

Career & counselling support

Structured academic guidance and psychological counselling sessions — because the pressure is real, and no one should carry it alone.

What Drives Us

Mission & Vision

Our Mission

To make high-yield, exam-focused medical education simple, affordable and reachable for every student and doctor in Bangladesh — so that no one's progress depends on who they happen to know.

Our Vision

To become the single trusted companion for the entire medical journey — from first-year MBBS through FCPS, MRCS and beyond — where every question a student has already has a well-organised answer waiting.

Our Principles

What We Hold Ourselves To

Clarity Over Complexity

Difficult concepts explained simply and visually. If an explanation needs a second explanation, we rewrite it.

Built for Our Exams

Every lecture, question and flashcard is shaped around how examinations here are actually set — not a generic international syllabus.

Honest Access

No misleading links, no hidden conditions, no bait. What we promise on the page is what you receive after payment.

Mentorship, Not Just Content

Behind the videos there are people. We answer questions, guide decisions, and stay reachable when it matters.

Start Where We Wish We Could Have
